Lecture mode: one speaker, you only listen.
Use headphones — the microphone keeps listening while the translation is spoken.
Sensitivity is lowered so a distant speaker still gets through; noise suppression is off.
If the speaker is far away, put the phone closer or use a wired/Bluetooth mic near them.
Sensitivity — quiet voices around you are ignored
Max turn: 15 s — then a beep
End of turn after 3 s of silence —
short replies («yes», «no») answer after 0.9 s
Speak in turns.
Pause when you finish — that is how the interpreter knows your turn is over.
While it speaks it listens to nobody and always finishes the sentence.
A beep means your time is up: stop, it is translating now. Longer turns take longer to translate.
